Forum Discussion: Gum Damage From Labret Piercing

January 19th, 2009  | Tags: , , , , ,

“I have a labret and a tongue ring. I have gum damage. The gums are so low up front on the bottom that it is painful for the dentist to clean that area. They said it is just to the edge of the bone. They also told me that I have to see this specialist, that will have to take a piece of the roof of my mouth to repair and place there, or….yes, I was horrified… cadaver gums! As soon as they said that I freaked out and started bawling. So yes, these CAN cause damage. (painful and costly)” – foxii
